We must confront our darkness in order to find our light

We must not shy away from the things that scare us, from the things that make us uncomfortable, from things we think are ugly. We need to talk about these things so that the stigmas, lies and oppression can be brought into the light, We need to tell stories for all of humanity and to do that we must study humanity to understand ourselves and everyone around us. Theatre must engage an audience through their souls so that society can find themselves, leading to growth and change. We need love, all kinds of love, the love of stories and the love of fellow humans, to move forward. We must tell the stories that people don’t want to hear, but need to hear. We must talk about the things that matter. And many may find that what was once thought ugly is in fact beautiful.
